Dear Pepsi,

I am writing to you today because I feel I can keep my silence no longer. I simply feel that cans of soda must be discontinued or redesigned. As they stand today, they pose a threat to everyone who drinks them.

I’m tired of having to break out a can opener every time I want to drink a soda. Even worse, I have to take one with me when I go to BBQs or parties just in case there are going to be cans of soda. The looks people give me are very cruel when they see me with my can opener in my back pocket. As if they don’t do the same thing.

Besides the extreme inconvenience of having to ensure I have a can opener with me at all times, the pain I have to endure when drinking from a can is almost unbearable. At home, I am able to pour the drink into a glass, which almost feels like it defeats the purpose of the can, but I digress. When no glasses are available to me, I have to simply do my best not to cut my lip on the rough edge created by the can opener. I have gotten better at it over the years, but I still frequently cut my lip.

I hope you take my complaints to heart and consider changing your design. I hope that in future designs, the ease and comfort of your customers are in mind. I hope that I can find enjoyment in your product in the future without the hindrances I face today.
