Dear Mr. Nancy,

I am in charge of reservations here at the Amstel Hotel. I have received your letter and wanted to respond to you on behalf of the hotel.

It is my understanding that after our refusal to allow you to keep 300 hamsters in one of our rooms with you, you have changed your show to now feature 500 calms which you would like to have room with you for 12 nights in three separate rooms. You have  informed us of this so we may pass on to housekeeping that they may spray when they open the door.

We are going to have to deny your request to store 500 live clams in our rooms for twelve nights. To ensure the best experience for our guests and to not make the job of our cleaning staff any more difficult, we cannot allow such a quantity of animals that can create odor or and damage to our facilities to stay in our hotel.

You are welcome to stay in our hotel by yourself  without your 500  stars of Amsterclam. I do wish you the best of luck on your show and hope you find much success there. I hope you will consider us for your future stays in Amsterdam when you do not have a large quantity of live animals with you.

Sincerely,

Head of Reservations

  1. Hello Shelby 🙂 I like the professionalism in this letter, and how even though the hotel is denying Mr. Nancy’s request, they still encourage him to come back to the hotel and use their facilities (without the clams). It feels strange to respond so politely to such an odd request, but you do a good job with it.
