I’m deciding to embark on a journey of getting to know myself better and embracing being by myself. But a lot of self dating guides didn’t quite satisfy what I was looking for, so I decided to write my own 30 days of self dates. I wanted to share this with you incase you to would like to give it a go. You dont need to do it order, but you can, or you can draw numbers out of a jar or just do whichever you feel you would like to do taht day. This is your journey so you may do it however you think is best.
I would encourage you throughout this process to journal about your experience with each thing. DId you like it? What emotions did you feel? Did you learn something new about yourself? Etc.
1.) Set up a spa day for yourself, paper yourself, facemask, foot soak, bath whatever a nice relaxing evening looks like to you.
2.) Have a paint party, put on some music and paint (or some other art form if you would prefer)
3.) Make a jar filled with all the wonderful things about yourself. Don’t worry about being humble, do it from the outside looking in. You can put big things or little things, but don’t let the self doubt creep in, if you think it, write it down.
4.) Have a movie night, snuggled up, your favorite snacks, the works.
5.) List everything in your life you are grateful for. Nothing is too small.
6.) Put on a nice outfit and take cute pictures of yourself. Spend some time with it, maybe go out and find somewhere that will make a good backdrop.
7.) Buy yourself a tasty food treat.
8.) Have a dance party with your favorite music.
9.) Write yourself a love song, poem or letter.
10.) Do guided mediation and get in touch with your body.
11.) Make yourself a picnic, inside, outside, doesn’t matter.
12.) Have a coffee date with yourself, make your coffee fancy and really allow yourself time to sit and drink it.
13.) Make a list of bible verses of who God says you are. Or if you’re not religious make a list of the things about yourself you know to be true.
14.) Buy yourself a new book- and read it.
15.) Clean and organize your room, make it a space you feel happy in.
16.) Buy or pick yourself some flowers.
17.) Cook yourself a nice meal, adn try to have fun doing it!
18.) Go for a drive or a walk just for the sake of it.
19.) Make yourself a promise to be loving and kind to yourself, and get a physical reminder of that promise.
20.) Make a playlist of songs that make you feel centered in yourself.
21.) Spend some time journaling about your growth, Acknowledge the ways you have grown and make note of the things you still need to work on.
22.) Do yoga, spend time making the atmosphere relaxing, whatever that looks like to you.
23.) Make yourself a cheap gift basket of all your favorite things.
24.) Make yourself a gift.
25.) Find a way to brighten someone else’s day today.
26.) Write a letter of encouragement for when your future self is feeling down.
27.) Pick a dream you have given up on, and brainstorm ways you could make that happen. Eg. writing a novel or making a movie or anything else under the sun.
28.) Get outside, even if its cold, spend some time soaking in the fresh air and taking in your surroundings.
29.) Make a dessert you love.
30.) Choose your own adventure! Whatever your soul is telling you its need today, do that!
